Job description
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead the financial strategy across DTC, wholesale, and licensing.
- Own annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Drive full P&L accountability by brand and channel.
Performance Management & Governance
- Build and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Own profitability management, with focus on margins, logistics, returns, and G&A discipline.
- Ensure tax, audit, and regulatory compliance
- Lead cash flow planning and working capital optimisation
Commercial & Operational Finance
- Partner closely with the COO to optimise supply chain economics, sourcing, production, and logistics.
- Work with Business & Creative Leadership
- Support Marketing with spend allocation, ROAS tracking, and profitability analysis.
- Build best-in-class dashboards and reporting for performance visibility.
Wholesale, Partnerships & Licensing
- Structure and evaluate wholesale agreements
- Lead the financial structuring of licensing deals
- Act as a commercial negotiator
Capital & Investor Relations
- Partner with the CEO on fundraising, capital structuring, and financing strategy.
- Prepare the business for future IPO-readiness
- Own investor materials, board packs, and KPI reporting.
- Serve as the primary financial interface with external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:
- 12–15+ years of finance experience, including senior leadership or CFO-level responsibility.
- Strong background in consumer brands, fashion, retail, or eCommerce.
- Proven P&L ownership with deep understanding of supply chain, inventory, and margin mechanics.
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-moving environments
- Fundraising, M&A, and investor relations experience preferred.
- Exposure to IPO-readiness, PE-backed, or founder-led scale-ups is a plus.
- Highly analytical, but commercially minded. Comfortable making judgment calls.
- Confident leader and communicator, able to influence across functions and levels.
