From Luxe Talent, International Recruitment and Specialised Training Consultancy, we are looking for a Buying Manager to expand the product range of a fast-growing e-commerce platform to join a High-Quality Piercing Jewelry Brand based in Malta or Work Remotely.
Job description
You’re a strategic thinker who excels at building systems and relationships. While expertise in piercing jewelry isn’t necessary, you’ll quickly grow into the role. You bring fresh ideas, agility, and a proactive mindset to the table, along with the ability to lead your team and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Build and maintain a diverse, reliable supplier network across regions.
- Source new products from existing suppliers.
- Create and enforce supplier agreements (terms, conditions, etc.).
- Manage inventory to meet customer demand, minimize excess stock, and handle rush orders.
- Ensure timely delivery from suppliers.
- Oversee replenishment purchasing by the Buying Assistant and mentor them.
- Collaborate on product innovation with the CPO and Product team.
- Ensure accuracy in procurement documents (invoices, packing lists, etc.).
- Continuously analyse cost structures and seek ways to reduce expenses.
- Monitor competitors and trends to keep product offerings competitive.
- Align product launches with marketing and sales strategies.
- Update the Distribution Hub on incoming shipments.
- Foster a collaborative environment where all stakeholders feel valued.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in procurement or buying roles.
- Strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ambitious, driven, and ready to grow with the company.
- Experience in e-commerce or fashion accessories (jewelry experience is a plus but not required).
- Familiarity with inventory optimization tools and techniques.
- Strong negotiation skills to maintain favorable terms with suppliers.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset, especially in managing stock levels and product sourcing challenges.
- Willing to travel, 3-6 month onboarding period with frequent travel to Malta and the Distribution. Hub in Germany is required. You’ll also attend international fairs and meet suppliers worldwide.
